Visit Ghana lists the sanctuary as open daily from 6 am to 6 pm, but travelers should still confirm current operations, fees, road conditions, and guide availability before building a tight Volta day around it.

The sanctuary fits best as part of a Volta chapter based around Ho, Hohoe, Wli, Amedzofe, Mountain Afadja, Tagbo Falls, Lake Volta, or a slower east-of-Accra nature route. It can be done from Accra with a long day and an early start, but that often makes the experience feel too compressed. For most visitors, early morning is the cleanest choice.
